I was hoping to share mine and my friend Russell Wolff‘s zero-budget guerrilla video production for Florida singer-songwriter Bailey Callahan. While we were pretty lucky to own the gear (so no equipment costs), we worked off a quick-and-dirty storyboard and headed out with Bailey, her mother and brother to shoot some quick and dirty video. We found a fella on the beach who became the ‘love-interest’, and found everyone staying out of our way. The local coffee shop on the Redondo Beach Pier was kind enough to allow us to use their venue; and with few chances for second takes, we ended up with some footage that we assembled.
The total shooting time was four hours and the editing time probably neared a total of twelve hours or so. I’d imagine that this is a fine ratio given the complications in using limited footage filled with all kinds of challenges. Russell and I were pretty proud of what we were able to assemble.
So enjoy! It’s a fine song with a talented young artist.
