Taking an image is easy. Perfection is reserved only for when an image fully serves its purpose.
I like to call it purpose-driven photography. We work as a team to determine what our goals and what we need to accomplish and we take our client’s success very personally. This can be a story, or effective promotion, or product sales or anything else imaginable. A technical great image should be a mere starting point. I succeed only when you succeed.
Mark started in music interning with Bob Spangler and his client Whitney Houston, and has traveled as a roadie and sound tech with acts including Meatloaf, 10,000 Maniacs and more. His music engineering, production and work in the industry earned him a place as a voting member of the Grammy’s for 15 years. He is a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law – and practiced law for nearly 20 years before returning fully to the creative space as the owner of Manhattan Beach Studios.
Spanning his career, Mark has spent time in Africa, Antarctica, Alaska and more as his work has graced over 100 magazine covers and been featured in countless publications. He is the owner as well as a producer/director at Manhattan Beach Studios, photographer for the Big 10, Tiger Woods Foundation, CBS/MaxPreps and former official photographer of the World Series of Beach Volleyball and Orange Bowl.
